John and I spend a lot of time watching Fixer Upper, and we always see Chip Gaines getting so excited about demo day. He’s like a kid in a candy store. I think it’s adorable, and John, well, he kind of laughs and rolls his eyes.
You see, John thinks demo day is his least favorite part of the job. Demo day is the most manual labor of any job. To be honest, I think if I was in his line of work, I’d be more like Chip. Demo day is when you get to destroy everything to rebuild it. It’s when you create a blank slate that can be reconstructed into what ever the imagination is dreaming.
Today was a bathroom demo day so I got these fun pictures. This bathroom is getting ripped out to have a brand new tile put up in the shower as well as on the floor. There will also be wainscoting added to the wall and the wall will be repainted.
But right now, it looks like garbage to some people. To me it’s a blank slate that can become anything in the world. This is why bathroom demo’s are the best – there is just so much you can do and so many options.
Enjoy the pictures, and think about what you would do to a bathroom if you could remove everything and start all over, and then contact us and let us help you!
